Summary[]

The episode starts with Sanzo panting in the hall of the inn. There are signs of bullets on the wall, and when Sanzo tries to look the enemy, he finds the enemy himself.

A few hours before, Sanzo Party beats numerous youkais in the desert. Turns out there's a youkai watching their every move from the top of a cliff.

The Sanzo Party reaches a town and gets a room to stay the night. Hakkai, Gojyo, and Goku go out to buy supplies while Sanzo stays at the inn. As usual, Sanzo pools his upper robes to his hips as he reads the newspaper. Right after he drinks and put the cup down, a bullet breaks the cup and five more bullets are shot into the room, making Sanzo duck. One of the inn staff opens the door and asks what happens, and Sanzo immediately pushes her outside the room, dodging more bullets from the window. Sanzo then turns to face the enemy, but it turns out to be himself.

Meanwhile at the market district, Hakkai, Gojyo, and Goku are shopping when Goku smells food and invites his companion to buy some. While he was talking to the shop keeper, the Shakujo attacks the wooden pillar nearby. Goku is yelling at the blue-vest Gojyo when the real Gojyo taps his shoulder. That's when they realize there were a copy of them, just with the outfit from Gensomaden Saiyuki.

The Doppelganger Party starts to fight the real Sanzo Party and the real party acknowledges that the Doppelganger Party is as strong as they are. Suddenly, Goku realizes that there is a Doppelganger Sanzo. Once they realize it, they leave the Doppelganger and run back to the inn, hoping to beat the real Sanzo. After they knew which one is the real Sanzo, they prepare themselves to attack the Doppelganger Party.

Sanzo then calls out the one behind it all, and a youkai emerges, saying that he studied the Sanzo Party for months and finished making the shikigamis yesterday. When the real Sanzo Party heard that, they gain thair confidence and beat the Doppelganger easily, before beating the shikigami master. The episode ends with them traveling West.

Urasai springrolls
  • The word "nasty" is apparently use to mean "delicious" by young people these days. Sanzo stated that it's stupid, but when he tried tasting the spring rolls that Goku asked him to, he used the word "nasty" as well.
